What $30,000 looks like in the hands of two year olds

These pictures say so much, but the words they speak are not, "insurance finally approved the requests for powerchairs", but instead it's "we got the demo chair from Permobil and we get to keep it for two weeks!"

  1. You've got to be kidding me! They're gonna rock the town now! I can't wait for their real chairs to come!

  5. It's not how big they are, it's how small the chair is! In a good way, I mean. It's just a demo, so we have to give it back, but it's almost completely configured for their size. I can't believe all the customization work that must go into these chairs. My kids are giving our wheelchair guy a run for his money, though!

  7. Jessica, has Nicholas had a second session on a powerchair? I tell you, the image of him enjoying that chair at his PT's place is what keeps me fighting for my kids' chairs, sometimes! I hope he gets lots of chances to play with it before he "needs" it. We're taking video of them in the chairs in order to prepare to send to the insurance company.... it is amazing how pessimistic our insurance company is about them being able to operate a chair at age 2.

  8. Ok, so all this time we have been "chatting" on FB and Twitter... how did I not know you have a blog? (maybe I am NUTS! LOL)

Your cuties look fabulous in their chairs. My little niece, who is 4, is still fighting to get her chair, so they don't have a power chair for her yet. Grrrr! So awesome that you were able to get them for your kiddies so young! It will make a world of difference for them!
